Trovio Awarded Contract to Develop and Operate the Australian Federal Government’s Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts (DITRDCA), new NVES Registry

Sydney, Australia – 19/2/2025 – Trovio, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions for environmental assets and data-enriched commodities, is proud to announce that it has been selected by the Australian Federal Government’s Department of Transport to deliver and operate the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) Registry. The registry will be powered by CorTenX, Trovio’s advanced digital registry platform, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering secure, transparent, and scalable solutions for emissions tracking and compliance.

The NVES is a new initiative designed to support Australia's transition to lower-emission transport by tracking and managing emissions credits associated with vehicle fleets. The scheme provides a transparent and reliable framework for measuring, reporting, and verifying emissions reductions from road transport, enabling compliance with national emissions targets and supporting market-based mechanisms to incentivize the use of fuel efficient vehicle.

The NVES Registry, built and operated on Trovio’s CorTenX platform, will provide:

Issuance and administration of NVES Units to support emissions compliance.
Seamless integration with existing environmental and transport regulatory frameworks.
Management of NVES Units by account holders including Unit transactions, and retirements.
Automated reporting and verification capabilities to ensure data integrity and auditability.
